TOWER CITY — Out of Williams Valley’s 16 wins this season, 15 of them have come with Tianna Yanoscak on the mound.
May 9 was no different as Yanoscak struck out seven and allowed one run on five hits to defeat crosstown rival Tri-Valley, dropping them to 14-4 on the season.
Yanoscak drew first blood offensively in the second inning, knocking Tri-Valley pitcher Kelsey Schwalm around with a two-run double that scored Rayanne Hawk and Kate Whelski.
The Bulldogs cut the lead to 2-1 in the third when Jacey Roth reached base on an error and Maddie Horn picked up her first hit of the day with an RBI single.
Williams Valley put the game out of reach in the fifth when Yanoscak put one close to the fence in center. Horn caught it for the out, but Hawk, who was on second, tagged up and never looked back, scoring on the sacrifice to make it 3-1.
Another sacrifice fly in the sixth and an RBI single from Caitlyn Pinchorski and Williams Valley cruised to the victory.
