HALIFAX – Upper Dauphin used rallies in the later innings to earn themselves the 2016 Tri-Valley League Championship, defeating Millersburg 7-4 in the tournament final on May 19.
It was the Indians that got on the board first in the title game scoring two runs in the first, but Upper Dauphin battled back with a run in the bottom half of the first. Upper Dauphin took the lead with three runs in the fourth inning, taking a 4-2 lead.
It was Grace Klinger that put the nail in the coffin for Millersburg, launching a shot that came within a few feet of going over the fence for a triple, and then scoring when the ball went out of play on the relay throw.
