TAMPA – A former Tri-Valley High School sports standout will be a part of a tryout in January for the country’s national softball team.
Juli Weber, a 2013 graduate of Tri-Valley High School and senior softball player for the University of South Florida, was named in the initial pool of 43 players invited to try out for 17 roster spots for the USA Softball Women’s National Team. Weber is among four players connected to the school invited to the camp, which will take place Jan. 1-5, 2017 at the Eddie C. Moore Complex in Clearwater, Fla.
Weber was the 2016 American Athletic Conference Player of the Year, a first-team all-region member and had two SportsCenter Top 10 plays during her junior year.
