Tri-Valley all stars win District 24 LL crown

Defeat Upper Dauphin County, open section play Thursday

TOWER CITY – Tri-Valley finished District 24 play undefeated, closing out the 9-11 year old Little League tournament with a 10-3 victory over Upper Dauphin County on July 17 at the Porter-Tower Little League Complex.
With Tri-Valley leading 2-1 in the third, Landin Bordner and Braxton Schwartz connected on back-to-back homers to put them up 4-1.
Kade Deeter added a three-run homer in the fourth as Tri-Valley scored six runs to put them up 10-1 with two innings to play.
Upper Dauphin County would not go down quietly as Landon Mace splashed down a two-run homer in a nearby swimming pool to make the score 10-3, after that, Mason Boltz earned the save for Tri-Valley, shutting down Upper Dauphin and giving the win to Jake Tietsworth.
Tri-Valley now opens up Section 3 tournaments in the 11-year-old tournament, taking on Southern Tioga in their opening game of the four-team tournament on Thursday, July 21 in Cressona.
