DONALDSON – Frailey Township supervisors will go back to the drawing board on a developing drainage problem on West Center Street.
Township secretary Donald Allar spoke about the problem at the June 7 meeting, at a home in the 400 block of West Center Street.
“We inherited the problem and the drains and now have to fix it.”
The township talked with a contractor who quoted them a price of $13,737.70 to install new drains and fix the problem. Under township code, any project that costs more than $10,000 must have three phone quotes for it, or put it out to bid.
Allar said that he will go back to the contractor to see if the project can go under the $10,000 limit to eliminate the red tape.
