Williams Valley would win this game, thanks to Achenbach’s 22 points, by a 45-44 score but then lost in the championship game to Shenandoah Valley.

PINE GROVE — The Cardinals opened their season in a big way starting with a 20-2 run in the first quarter to rout Schuylkill Valley in non-league action Dec. 12.
Rachel Edge led the Pine Grove effort with 14 points while Faith Shiffer contributed nine points for the Cardinals.
