Vera Violet Coleman, 88, formerly of Pleasant Valley Rd., Pine Grove, died on Wednesday, March 9, in the McGraw Center for Caring, Jacksonville, Fl.

Born on February 15, 1928 in Fearnot, she was a daugh- ter of the late Ivan and Edna Violet Miller Artz.

She was a 1946 graduate of Hubley Twp. High School in Spring Glen.

Vera worked as a Seamstress for Summit Station Mfg. in Pine Grove.

She was a member of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, Pine Grove, where she was president of the Good Will Class for many years and sang in the choir.

Vera was preceded in death by her husband Ivan R. Coleman in 1997, and two brothers, Elwood Artz and Irvin Artz.

Surviving are a son Stephen and his wife Gloria Cole- man of Deltona, Fl; a daughter, Gail and her husband James Backfisch of Jacksonville Beach, Fl; six grandchil- dren, six great grandchildren, a brother Wayne and his wife Ruth Artz of Spring Glen, nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services were held Monday, March 21, from the H. L. Snyder Funeral Home, Inc., Pine Grove with Dr. Ira Lydic officiating. Interment was in the Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.

In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer contributions be made to St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, 19 E. Potts- ville St., PO Box 68, Pine Grove, Pa. 17963 in her memory.
