Carol L. Colgate

Carol L. Schwalm Colgate, 84 of Colonial Park, died Feb- ruary 19.

Carol was born in Valley View, to the late Lloyd and Mary (Evans) Schwalm.

Carol is survived by three sons, Gary Colgate and wife Teresa of Rutherford; Chris Colgate of Colonial Park; Brett Guldemond and wife Catherine of Murphy NC; two grandsons, Michael Colgate and wife Alicia of New Cum- berland and David Colgate of Rutherford; and two great-grandchildren, Brayden and Kendall. She is also sur- vived by her loving siblings, brother Ken Schwalm and wife Lorraine; sister Jane Wallower and several nieces/ nephews. Carol was preceded in death by her brother, Har- old Schwalm, his wife Anne and brother-in-law Paul (Bud) Wallower.

Carol worked for Bell Telephone, Citizens Bank, Rea and Derrick and Leader Nursing Home, sometimes working twojobstosupportherfamily.Sheretiredin1993fromthe Buildings and Grounds Department for the Central Dau- phin School Administration.

Carol attended United Church of God and appreciated Pastor Dave’s visits when homebound. She enjoyed long time friendships with a group that walks at the Colonial Park Mall, nicknamed the Walkie Talkie’s. Carol enjoyed family time and working in her garden. She looked for- ward to her yearly Hegins Township High School class reunions. Carol was glad to enjoy many retirement winter seasons in Bradenton, FL.

A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, March 13, at United Church of God, 1211 Fairmont Dr, Harrisburg, 17112. Officiating the memorial service will be Pastor David Tressler. Visitation with the family will be held at 2 p.m. as well as after the service. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to United Church of God.
