Volleyball stars named All-State

Six Schuylkill League volleyball players were named All-State by the Pennsylvania Volleyball Coaches Association.

All six players were named to the 40-player Class A team. They are: Catherine Amoriello of District 3 Class A champion Halifax, Marykate Sherkness and Nikki Collevechio of District 11 Class A champion Marian, Tara Nahodil and Taylor Troutman of Schuylkill League champion Tri-Valley and Megan Curry of Nativity.

Amoriello is a sophomore; the other five are all seniors.
