Vikings remain unbeaten

In boys' soccer action, Williams Valley remained undefeated and was the Division II champion in the Schuylkill League, while Blue Mountain and Jim Thorpe were atop Division I and earned playoff berths. In the Tri-Valley League, Upper Dauphin boys posted a victory over Juniata, but lost to the Vikes in a non-league contest.

POTTSVILLE - T.J. Leiter netted four goals to help the Vikings remain undefeated on the season by beating the Crimson Tide in a non-league match.

With two games remaining in the regular season, Williams Valley sits at 16-0.

Ben Rautzahn, Colin Harrison and Jake Carl added goals for the Vikings.

Adam Campbell and Muldeen Thomas scored Pottsville's goals.

TOWER CITY - Colin Harrison scored four goals to pace Williams Valley in the Vikings' shutout win over the Trojans in a non-league match.

T.J. Leiter and Ben Rautzahn added goals, while Billy Schaeffer made six saves in earning the shutout.

COAL TOWNSHIP - Colin Harrison and T.J. Leiter scored two goals apiece as the unbeaten Vikings rolled to a Division II win over the Red Raiders.

Williams Valley scored eight first-half goals and fired 28 shots on goal.

Jim Thorpe 6

Pine Grove 1

JIM THORPE - Corey Ligenza scored two goals and had one assist in leading the Olympians past the Cardinals in a Division I game.

Nevin White scored the only goal for Pine Grove.

Tri-Valley Boys' Soccer

U. Dauphin 3

Juniata 2

JUNIATA - Bobby Paul scored two goals, one in the second half and another in overtime, to lift the Trojans to an OT win over the Indians in a TVC game.

Paul's goal off an assist from Ethan Gray with 27:27 left in the regulation tied the score for Upper Dauphin.

His goal with 4:30 left in overtime off a crossing pass from Richie Koontz sealed the victory.
