Annual autumn hawk watch begins at Hawk Mountain

This year's annual Autumn Hawk Watch begins Thursday, Aug. 15, and continues through Sunday, Dec. 15, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily at the North Lookout, Hawk Mountain Sanctuary, Kempton.

This annual ritual of autumn allows participants to view the ongoing passage of migratory raptors as they sail south for their winter breeding grounds. A trained staff or volunteer biologist is stationed every day to help visitors by pointing out and identifying the passing migrants.

For information call the visitor center at (610) 756-6961 or access the website at http://www.hawkmountain.org/.
