In recent girls' basketball action, two Tri-Valley players marked career milestones as the Bulldogs continued their undefeated season. Meanwhile, Williams Valley held off Upper Dauphin in a close non-league match-up.

HEGINS - Another night, another 1,000-point scorer for Tri-Valley.
Juli Weber netted career point No. 1,000 early in the third quarter to become the seventh player in program history to reach the milestone as the Dawgs beat Schuylkill Haven 51-22 in a Schuylkill League Division II girls' basketball game Friday, Jan. 27.
Weber, a junior, finished with a game-high 14 points and has 1,006 for her career. The previous night, classmate Tara Nahodil joined the 1,000-point club.
Rayne Newswanger added 12 points for the Dawgs, who remained unbeaten.

HEGINS - Career milestones are difficult to come by.
Tara Nahodil added a new milestone to her career as Tri-Valley cruised to a 76-14 win over Newport in a non-league girls' basketball game Thursday, Jan. 26.
Nahodil scored 1,000 career points as the Dawgs moved their winning streak to start the season to 18.
Nahodil garnered 18 points, netting her 1,000th point midway through the first quarter. The 6-foot-4 junior scored 14 of her points in the first quarter. She now has 1,011 career points.
Juli Weber recorded a game-high 24 points, while Rayne Newswanger added 12 for Tri-Valley.

TAMAQUA - Maria Streisel poured in a game-high 25 points as the Blue Raiders topped the Cardinals in a Division I matchup.
Christine Streisel added 12 points and 10 rebounds for for Tamaqua, while Amanda Solt had 10 points and 10 boards.
Becky Evans paced Pine Grove with 10 points.

TOWER CITY - Molly Loftus poured in a game-high 17 points to propel the Red Raiders to a Division II win over the Vikings.
Loftus hit five 3-pointers on the night, while Christina Perles added 13 points for Lourdes.
Cassidy Pinchorski paced the Vikings with 10 points.
Nativity 66

ELIZABETHVILLE - Nativity was looking for a shutdown effort.
The Golden Girls got it in the second half on January 28.
Olivia Andrefski led three players in double figures with 14 points as Nativity snapped a two-game losing streak with a 66-41 non-league girls' basketball victory over Upper Dauphin.
Erin Luckenbill (12 points) and Mariah Sabol (11 points) also scored in double-figures for Nativity, which held the Trojans to just 14 points in the second half.
Karissa Deitrich led Upper Dauphin with 10 points.

TOWER CITY - Cassidy Pinchorski scored a game-high 11 points as the Vikings held off the Trojans for a non-league victory.
Williams Valley went 12-of-14 from the foul line in the fourth quarter to cement the win. Lacey Bixler scored six of her nine points in the fourth.

MILLERSBURG - Kasey Long scored 25 points and Mikhail Whitcomb 20 as Linie Mountain raised its unbeaten record to 15-0 with a Tri-Valley League win over Millersburg.

SHENANDOAH - Tara Nahodil scored 18 of her game-high 24 points in the first half in Tri-Valley's Division II-III win on January 24.
Taylor Troutman added 15 points for the Dawgs.
Ali Semanchik netted 12 points to lead Shenandoah Valley.

HELLERTOWN - Lauren Thompson (21 points) and Becky Evans (20 points) each scored career highs as the Cardinals held on for a non-league win over the Panthers.
Evans had a busy night with 10 assists, seven steals and six rebounds.
Pine Grove outscored Saucon Valley 23-12 in the third quarter as Thompson and Evans combined for 15 points.

MAHANOY CITY - Haley Nestor scored 12 points to lead Williams Valley to a Division II-III win.
Mahanoy Area's Emily Davidson topped all scorers with 19.
The Bears' Macey Brown connected on a 3-pointer with 1.3 seconds left in the game, but time ran out.

MILLERSTOWN - Krysta Wynn scored 11 points but the Trojans fell to the Wildcats in a Tri-Valley League contest.
Salene Shaffer led Greenwood with 14 points, scoring nine in the fourth quarter.

POTTSVILLE - Becky Evans scored 18 points and Shannon Zimmerman added 12 in the Cardinals Division I rout of the Crimson Tide at Martz Hall.
Samantha Bertasavage scored seven of nine points in the second quarter while Evans added six as Pine Grove held a 21-6 scoring advantage in the period to take a 32-17 halftime lead.
Stephanie Sweat had eight points to lead Pottsville.
