Miller, Dawgs rout Indians

MILLERSBURG - The showdown is set.

Dalton Miller threw three touchdown passes to lead Tri-Valley to a 35-14 victory over Millersburg in Tri-Valley League action on October 5.

The Dawgs (6-0, 5-0 TVL) advance to this Friday's showdown against rival Williams Valley (6-0, 5-0). Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. October 12 for the Bulldogs' Homecoming in Hegins.

Blake Bowman had another big night for Tri-Valley rushing for 146 yards and TD runs of 4 and 12 yards. Bowman has 1,078 yards rushing this season.

Juniata 51

Upper Dauphin 21

MIFFLINTOWN - Neil Bodley rushed for 245 yards and five touchdowns as the Indians ran past the Trojans in a Tri-Valley League game.

Bodley scored on runs of 40, 30, 12, 1 and 23 as Juniata took a 34-13 lead. The Indians finished with 479 yards rushing on 45 carries.

Ian Buffington rushed for 154 yards on 17 carries for Upper Dauphin, scoring on a 53-yard TD run. Trey Campbell caught a 38-yard touchdown pass from Austin A. Weaver, and Cameron Fornwald had a 6-yard TD reception from Ethan Schell to account for the other Upper Dauphin points.
