Hurricanes clinch D-II with win over Dawgs

SCHUYLKILL HAVEN - Tyler Yeakel had a hat trick, while Fatih Yilmaz added two goals to lead Schuylkill Haven to a 7-1 victory over Tri-Valley in a Schuylkill League Division II match at Rotary Field.
The victory clinched the division title for the Hurricanes.
Yeakel scored twice in the first half, along with another by Kyle McGarry, to put Schuylkill Haven up 3-0 at intermission. McGarry added two second-half assists for the Hurricanes.
Collin Maurer scored the only goal for Tri-Valley.
Wms. Valley 6
HEGINS - Williams Valley bounced back in impressive fashion.
Ben Rautzahn scored a natural hat trick and added an assist as the Vikings took command of second place in Schuylkill League Division II boys' soccer with a 6-1 triumph over Tri-Valley on Sept. 26.
Jake Carl assisted on two of Rautzahn's first-half markers and later scored on a penalty kick to give the Vikings a 4-0 halftime lead.
Goalkeeper Tristan Merwine came up big early in the game and finished with 16 saves for Williams Valley, which lost 2-1 to Schuylkill Haven in a key battle Tuesday.
Collin Maurer recorded the Dawgs' only goal.

FOUNTAIN SPRINGS - Cameron Shollenberger recorded a hat trick and added an assist as the Cardinals doubled up the Spartans in a Division I match.
Joel Caputo, Luke Onuskanich and Aden Wolfe scored second-half goals for North Schuylkill.

WEATHERLY - Ben Rautzahn scored twice and added an assist as the Vikings shutout the Wreckers in a Division II match.

WILLIAMSTOWN - Jake Carl tallied two goals and one assist as Williams Valley used a four-goal second half to outlast Pine Grove in non-league action.
Zach Tritt had a hat trick for the Cardinals.

HERNDON - Upper Dauphin broke a 1-1 deadlock with three second-half goals as the Trojans pulled away from the Eagles in a Tri-Valley League game.
Kaleb Hoch tallied the winners' final two goals after Calen Reigner broke a 1-1 deadlock with a goal off an assist from Bobby Paul. In the first half, Upper Dauphin's Benard Rodriguez tied the game after Line Mountain's Dylan Latsha scored the opening goal.
Goalkeeper Madison Crum-Berger earned the win with six saves for UDA.
Wms. Valley 3
TOWER CITY - Steven Hill, Ben Rautzhan and Giuseppe Mini each scored a goal for the Vikings as they defeated the Indians in a non-league match at Stauffenberg Field at Viking Stadium.
Mini's goal came in the 66th minute and broke a 2-all tie.
Willy Girard and Jake Carl each added an assist for Williams Valley.
Matt Snyder and Ian Lloyd scored goals for Millersburg.
U. Dauphin 0
ELIZABETHVILLE - Madison Crum-Burger saved seven shots for the Trojans and Dan Osenbach stopped two for the Wildcats as Halifax and Upper Dauphin played to a 0-0 tie in a Tri-Valley League match.
Bobby Paul did not play for the Trojans due to illness.
