Doyle, Pinchorski collect five RBIs in Vikings' win over Blue Devils

TOWER CITY - Kylie Doyle and Cassidy Pinchorski collected five RBIs apiece as the Vikings cruised to a three-inning rout of the Blue Devils in a Division II-III crossover.

Pinchorski and Tianna Yanoscak combined for eight strikeouts and surrendered just two hits for Williams Valley.

SCHUYLKILL HAVEN - Katie Rabuck tossed a one-hit shutout, recording four strikeouts and no walks, as the Dawgs routed the Hurricanes in a Division II contest.

Taryn Wilson collected a two-run double in the fifth inning, while Haley Schwalm drove in three runs.

Pine Grove 7

U. Dauphin 6

PINE GROVE - McKenzee Warner compiled three RBIs and a pair of hits as the Cardinals held off a seventh-inning rally to defeat the Trojans in a non-league contest.

Hayley Wolff pushed Pine Grove in front with a solo home run in the first inning as the Cardinals built a 7-4 lead through six innings.

Amber Bingaman nearly brought Upper Dauphin back, making the Cardinals pay for a walk and an error in the top of the seventh with a two-run triple. Britt Whitman induced a groundout to end the game with the tying run at third base.

TOWER CITY - Tianna Yanoscak and Maura Kreiser delivered RBI singles in the bottom of the sixth inning to help Williams Valley rally past Nativity 3-2 on April 22 in a Schuylkill League Division II-III softball game.

Yanoscak's single followed a walk issued to Cassidy Pinchorski and a double by Kate Whelski.

The Golden Girls started the scoring with Stephanie Killian's solo home run in the first and led 2-0 after the top of the third.

Whelski finished 3-for-3 for Williams Valley and Hannah Nestor went 3-for-4.

Despite giving up the home run to Killian and doubles to Allegra Miske and Desiree Reigel, Pinchorski struck out 10 Nativity batters to prevent further damage.

HEGINS - Taryn Wilson tossed a three-inning perfect game, striking out eight of the nine batters she faced, as the Dawgs routed Shenandoah Valley in a Division II-III crossover game April 22.

Wilson helped herself with a 2-for-3 effort that included a two-run single in Tri-Valley's 11-run first inning, and a three-run homer in the second inning.

HEGINS - Mackenzie Hasenauer hit a two-run single and Jeena Sidleck went 2-for-4 with a double as Pine Grove beat Tri-Valley in a non-league game.

Morgan Wolfe had two hits for the Cardinals, who took the lead in the first inning with two runs from two errors by the Bulldogs.

Haley Schwalm hit a two-run triple in the sixth inning and teammate Catt Troutman had a double in the loss for the Bulldogs.

JIM THORPE - Kylie Doyle belted a grand slam in the first inning for her 100th career hit as Williams Valley crushed Jim Thorpe in a non-league game.

Tianna Yanoscak pitched a three-inning perfect game and added two more home runs to help the Vikings remain unbeaten.

Doyle went 3-for-4 with five RBIs and Yanoscak finished with three RBIs and four strikeouts.

Halifax 2

U. Dauphin 1

HALIFAX - Taylor Brown struck out nine and drove in Upper Dauphin's only run, but the Trojans fell to Halifax in a Tri-Valley League game.

Amber Bingaman went 2-for-3 with a double for Upper Dauphin.

The Wildcats' two runs in the first inning were both unearned.
