ORWIGSBURG - Last year, when the calendar flipped to May, Blue Mountain changed from a struggling team to a successful one that went on to win a District 11 Class AAA title.

The Eagles' May success continued Thursday, May 2.

Shane Grapsy tossed a two-hitter and struck out seven as Blue Mountain routed Pine Grove 10-0 in a five-inning Schuylkill League Division I game at Allen Greenawalt Field.

Grapsy was backed by an 11-hit attack that featured a seven-run third inning. Luke Harding had a two-run single, while Scott Snyder drove in a pair of runs on a single and an RBI groundout.

Adam Hull, Grapsy and Snyder each had two hits for Blue Mountain, which last year won its final four regular-season games to get into districts.

Thursday's win couldn't have come at a better time, as the Eagles (8-9, 5-5) still needed to win one of their final two league games to qualify for the postseason.
