Willard E. "Sonny" Wiest, 72, of Loyalton, died on August 28, 2013, at his residence.

He was born in Klingerstown, on May 3, 1941, a son of the late John and Esther (Ramer) Wiest.

Willard was employed as a Street Maintenance Supervisor for Elizabethville Borough and Millersburg Borough, a bus driver for Hegins Valley Lines and a police officer in the Millersburg Borough in the 70's.

He was the husband of Diane (Kehler) Wiest. He was a member of Reliance Hose Company #1 Elizabethville, David's UCC, Hebe. Willard is survived by his spouse, Diane Wiest; daughter, Michelle (Sean) Fitzpatrick; two sons, David Wiest, Andrew (Heidi) Dressler; brother, Randy Wiest; two sisters, Betty Lou Kitchen, Deb Ressler; four grandsons, Austin Dressler, Alex McMullen, Justin Hoffer, Evan Wiest; granddaughter, Alicia (Matthew) Ostberg; sister-in-law, Wendy Wiest; son-in-law, Carl Nauman; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a brother, James Wiest; a daughter, Lisa Nauman; and two grandsons, Jeffrey Nauman, and Matthew Wiest.

Services were held Tuesday, Sept. 3, at the David's UCC, Hebe, with the Rev. Raymond Holland officiating. Interment was in David's Church Cemetery, Hebe.
