Walter M. "Wally" Stroup, Jr., 65, of Williamstown died Friday, Jan. 4, 2013 at the Harrisburg Hospital.

Born in Harrisburg, July 12, 1947, he was a son of the late Walter Sr. and Ellen Jones Stroup.

He was Army Veteran of Vietnam War.

Wally was a graduate of the former Wiconisco High School. He retired as a machinist; was a former police officer with the Williamstown Borough.

He was of the Catholic Faith; a 4th degree Knight of Columbus, Lykens and a member of the Williamstown American Legion.

Surviving are four sons; Christopher, Williamstown; Jeffrey, Palmyra; Daniel and Patrick, both of Tower City; one daughter, Nicole Archer, Williamstown; 11 grandchildren.

Memorial services were held Tuesday, Jan. 8, from the Chapel of the Dimon Funeral Homes, Inc. Tower City. Burial was in the Calvary United Methodist Cemetery, Wiconisco.
