Virginia L. Powers, 73, of Pine Grove, died Saturday, Dec. 15, at Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center, Hershey.

Born on Feb. 16, 1939, in Lancaster, she was a daughter of the late Frank Henry and Margaret Virginia Brown Myers.

Virginia was a member of Suedberg Church of God.

She was a graduate of Roxborough High School, Philadelphia, and was a former member of the Tremont Senior Citizens.

She loved baking and doing crossword puzzles.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Gerald Lee Myers.

Surviving are her husband of 52 years, Chester Powers; two sons, David and his wife, Pamela Powers, Quakertown, Kenneth and his wife, Carolann Powers, Philadelphia; granddaughter, Ashley Guarino; three grandsons, Bryan Powers, Thomas Powers and Jake Powers; two great-grandchildren, Chase Guarino and Bryce Guarino; a sister, Eileen Frances Crisci, Port St. Luci, Fla.

Services were held Wednesday, Dec. 19, at H.L. Snyder Funeral Home Inc., Pine Grove, with Pastor Terrence Jansma officiating. Interment was in the Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville. The family would prefer, in lieu of flowers, donations be given to the Suedberg Church of God Memorial Fund, c/o P/OP Box 106, Pine Grove, PA. 17963, in her memory.
