Veronica L. Kalovcak, 45, of New Street, Mount Laffey, died suddenly Wednesday, Feb. 27, 2013 at home.

Born Nov. 9, 1967, she was a daughter of the late Janet Dembinsky.

She was a 1985 graduate of Tri-Valley High School and earned an associate degree in marketing from McCann School of Business.

She was employed as a secretary at Sands Ford, Pottsville.

She was very active serving on several committees for various fund raising projects.

Veronica is survived by her husband, David T. Kalovcak, Mount Laffey; two sons, Joshua Kiefer, who is serving in the Army Military Police in Afghanistan, and Jared Kiefer, at home; a daughter, Karlee Kalovcak, at home; her mother-in-law, Mary Kalovcak; sisters-in-law, Colleen and her husband, Mark Fleagle, and Paulette and her husband, Mark Kochkodin; brothers-in-law, Robert and Michael Kalovcak; nieces and nephews.

A religious service was held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 5 at Mahal-Ritzel Funeral Home Inc., Minersville, with the Rev. John Wallace officiating. Interment was in Mount Peace Cemetery. Mahal-Ritzel Funeral Home Inc., Minersville, is entrusted with arrangements.
