Verna A. Reiner, 89 of Klingerstown and Geisinger Life Program in Kulpmont died Tuesday, January 22, 2013 at Mountain View, a nursing and rehabilitation center in Coal Township where she had resided for several years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest H. Reiner, who died May 19, 1997.

Born Saturday, March 10, 1923 in Herndon RD, she was a daughter of the late Edwin and Anna (Wolfgang) Stepp. She worked at the former Quaker State now Michael Foods in Klingerstown.

She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Millersburg and enjoyed word find puzzles. She will be remembered for her great love of family, friends and animals.

Surviving are five children, Glenn Reiner of Herndon; Carl Reiner of Dornsife, David Reiner and his wife Joan of Kulpmont, Donna Snyder and her husband Rodney of Dornsife, and Christie Klinger and her husband Don of Klingerstown; 14 grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; many great grandchildren and step great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Mary Lou Reiner; three brothers, Paul, Bill and Russell Stepp; and one sister, Mary Reidinger.

Services will be private with interment in St. John's Reformed Cemetery in Leck Kill.
