Vaughn J. Werzinsky, 65, of Girardville, died Monday, Oct. 29, at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest, Allentown.

Born in Fountain Springs, Nov. 19, 1946, he was a son of the late Naomi "Toot" Werzinsky.

He graduated from Ashland High School in 1964.

He lived with his wife, the former Judy Brown, and daughters in Ashland for 33 years prior to her death in 2000.

He worked for Zapata Industries, Goulds Pump Co., Securitas and was co-owner of Brown's Cafe for a number of years.

He resided in Girardville with his friend and companion, Denny.

In addition to his mother and wife, he was preceded in death by a brother, Bertram "Bo" Werzinsky, in 2009.

Surviving are two daughters, Jennifer, wife of Steve Means, Montoursville, and Yvonne, Pine Grove; a sister, Sandy Maurer, Ringtown; a grandchild, Hannah Judith Means; nieces and nephews.

Memorial services were held Friday, Nov. 2, at Kull-Heizenroth Funeral Home, Ashland, with the Rev. Dana Heckman-Beil officiating. Interment was in Christ Church Cemetery, Fountain Springs.
