Theresa C. Yanoscak, 86, of Wiconisco, died Friday, Jan. 24, 2014 at Holy Spirit Hospital, Camp Hill, surrounded by her loved ones.

Born in Wiconisco, Sept. 6, 1927, she was a daughter of the late Michael and Mary Plichta Yanoscak.

A graduate of the former Wiconisco High School, she retired from the garment industry.

She was a life member of Our Lady Help of Christians Roman Catholic Church, Lykens.

Theresa enjoyed cooking, playing cards and spending time with her family. She will be remembered for the love and devotion she showed to her mother.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by five brothers, Eugene, Michael, George, Andrew and Frank Yanoscak; and four sisters, Mary Epiritu, Agnes Usaka, Sister Mary Carlotta, RSM, and Pauline Shadle.

Surviving are her sister, Sister Mary George, RSM, Dallas; brother, John Yanoscak, Tower City; nieces and nephews, including Michael Yanoscak, whom she resided with and who considered Theresa a mother.

Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 28 from Our Lady Help of Christians Roman Catholic Church, Lykens, with the Rev. C. Anthony Miller as celebrant. Interment was in Calvary United Methodist Cemetery, Wiconisco. In lieu of flowers, donations should be made to the Sisters of Mercy, P.O. Box 370, Dallas, PA 18612.
