Susan Isabelle Witmer, 64, of 2014 E. Center Street, Good Spring, died Thursday, July 3, 2014 at her residence.

She was born on Monday, December 5, 1949, in Pottsville, a daughter of the late Leroy "Gamus" D. Herring and the late Eva M. Kerschner Herring.

She was a seamstress for Canoe Manufacturing, Pine Grove.

She was a member of Hetzel's Lutheran Church, Pine Grove and had also attended St. Andrew's United Methodist Church, Valley View.

She was also a member of the Roederville Gun Club and the Tri-Valley Relay for Life.

Sue was a former Senior Queen of the Schuylkill County Fair. She loved casino trips, bingo, crocheting, the beach, and spending time with her family.

Preceding her in death in addition to her parents were a son, Larry Witmer, Jr; a sister, Joan Herring; and a brother, Dwayne Herring.

She is survived by two sisters, Penny Shadler and Michelene Foose both of Pine Grove; by her Good Spring family, Tammy L. Saltzman, Connie Schnoke, Barbara Custer, Heidi and Ramone Mercado, Serena Cox, Alexander Cox, Kathleen Hatter, Shawn and Angelina Schnoke, Seth Schnoke, Brennden Etzweiler, Maddyson Firestine, Jhnesy and Yuriel Mercado, and God daughter Rihanna Mercado all of Good Spring; by siblings, Fred Herring, Randy Herring; Christine Jennings, Kenneth Herring, Betty Martin, Denise Burke, Paula Winn; and by nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and many friends.

Graveside services were held at Hetzel's Cemetery, Pine Grove, on Tuesday, July 8, with Rev. Duane Bardo officiating assisted by Rev. Carl Adams.

Memorial contributions can be made to St. Andrew's United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 221, Valley View, PA 17983.

Buffington-Reed Funeral Home, Valley View, was in charge of arrangements.
