Stanley E. Lebo, 89, of Tower City, died Thursday, Aug. 29, 2013, at the Tremont Health and Rehabilitation Center.

Stanley was born in Tower City, March 3, 1924. He was preceded in death by his father, Clair Lebo and his mother and step-father, Eva Shomper Barr and Frank Barr.

He was a 1942 graduate of the Porter Twp High School. Stanley was a WW II Army Veteran.

He was a retired Industrial Engineer from TRW, Harrisburg.

Stan was a very active member of the Christ United Methodist Church, Tower City. He was a member and past president of the Gideon Society and was a member and past president of the Full Gospel Business Men's Fellowship, International. He was also very active in his community, belonging to numerous organizations.

Surviving are his wife of 66 years, Irene M. Bush Lebo; one son, Roger Van Lebo, Ohio; one daughter, Debra A. Hartley, Tower City; three grandsons.

Services will be held Sunday, Sept. 1 from the Christ United Methodist Church with Pastor Annette Shutt officiating. Burial was at the convenience of the family with military honors at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations should be made to Gideon International, P.O. Box 1408000, Nashville TN, 37214.
