Shirley A. Reardon, 78, of 85 Kushwa Road, Spring Glen, died Tuesday, Aug. 20, 2013 at Good Samaritan Hospital, Lebanon.

She was born on Sunday, April 28, 1935, in Lancaster, and was a graduate of McCaskey High School, Lancaster.

Shirley was employed as a bank teller, was a waitress at the Blu Tavern and along with her husband owned and operated the former Pick & Shovel Inn in Donaldson.

She enjoyed reading, cooking and spending winters in Florida and summers in Pennsylvania. She loved time with her grandchildren and spending time with her Amish friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William "Jere" Reardon and siblings, Ed, Kitty, Dot, Dick, Bob, Ken, Joyce and Paul.

She is survived by a son, William Reardon and his wife Terri of Plainfield, IN; two daughters, Melanie Lynne Brewer and her husband Clyde of Harrison, AK, and Beth Ann Leahey and her husband Michael of Windermere, FL; two brothers, Jerry Wagner of Lancaster and Claude Wagner of Landisville; seven grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.

Services were held Friday, Aug. 23, at Buffington-Reed Funeral Home, Valley View with Pastor Curtis Zemencik officiating. Burial was at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the American Heart Association in Shirley's name.
