Roy R. "Snuffy" Straub, Jr., 82, of Klingerstown and most recently Berrysburg, died Saturday, March 16, 2013 at the Friendly Nursing Home in Pitman. He is survived by his wife of 54 years Margaret (Carl) Straub.

Born Monday, March 17, 1930 in Klingerstown, he was a son of the late Roy and Blanche (Reed) Straub.

He graduated from Pine Park High School in Leck Kill and was employed as a dock worker for various truck companies, retiring in 1988 from Pilot Trucking. After retirement, he worked at Blyler's Fruit Farm and mowed grass for St. Michael's Cemetery and the Klingerstown Fire Company.

He was a member of St. Michaels Lutheran Church, the Erdman Sportsman Club, Klingerstown Fire Company, Mahantongo Rod and Gun Club and belonged to the Teamsters Local 776 for 30 years.

Surviving are four children, Bill Straub and his wife Sue of Valley View, Cindy Fry and her husband George of Klingerstown, Jeff Straub of Klingerstown, and Julie Weaver and her husband Warren of Lykens Rd; six grandchildren; three great grandchildren; three nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by one sister, Jackie Reitz.

A viewing was to be held on Wednesday, March 20 at St. Michael's Lutheran Church, Klingerstown where the funeral was to follow with Rev. Jonathan Jenkins officiating. Interment was in St. Michael's Cemetery, Klingerstown.

Memorial contributions may be made to the family, care of the funeral home. The Stephen R. Rothermel Funeral Home, Klingerstown, PA has charge of the arrangements.
