Roy H. Morgan, 66, of Dornsife died Friday, Aug. 31, at the Lebanon VA Medical Center after a brief battle with cancer. He is survived by his wife of 41 years Beverly (Bordner) Morgan. The couple married May 8, 1971.

Born Monday, May 6, 1946 in Dornsife, he was a son of the late John E. and Faye S. (Adams) Morgan.

He attended the former Mahanoy Joint High School. Roy was a U.S. Army veteran and served during the Vietnam War. He was a retired Heavy Equipment Operator.

He was a lifetime member of the Diamond Jubilee VFW Post 2385 of Gratz.

Roy loved his family and enjoyed camping. He liked yard sales, car shopping and was an avid NASCAR fan.

Surviving are his wife, Beverly; two sons, Tony Morgan and his wife Sherri, of Halifax and Shaun Morgan, of Dornsife; one grandson and a special granddaughter; four brothers, Fayne Morgan and his wife Shirley, Junior Morgan and his wife Elaine, Glenn Morgan and his wife Rose, and Dean Morgan; as well as nieces and nephews.

A viewing was held on Wednesday, Sept. 5 from 9-11 a.m. at Grace United Methodist Church, 982 Medical Road, Millersburg, where the funeral service followed at 11 a.m. with Rev. Douglas Compton officiating. Interment followed in County Line Cemetery, Dalmatia.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Inpatient Hospice Unit of Lebanon VA Medical Center, 1700 South Lincoln Ave., Lebanon, PA 17042.
