Ronald V. Troutman, 75, of Atlas, died Friday, June 21, 2013, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, where he had been hospitalized for the past week.

He was born in Ashland Hospital, Nov. 16, 1937, a son of the late Bruce Troutman and Orpha Snyder. He lived the past 57 years in Atlas, and also lived in Pitman for a period of time.

He was a graduate of Tri-Valley High School in Hegins.

Ronald was married Oct. 24, 1956, to the former Josephine (Babe) Escanez, who survives in Atlas.

He worked as an auto mechanic and service manager, and he was last employed at B&L in Shamokin.

He was a member of Zion E.C. Church, Pitman. He was also a member of the Woodmen of the World and National Rifle Association.

He enjoyed snowmobiling, hunting, fishing, model railroading, baseball, cars, camping and spending time with his family. He was also an avid Phillies fan.

In addition to his wife, Ronald is survived by a daughter, Debra Troutman, of Atlas; two sons, Jim Troutman and his wife, Toni, of Atlas, and Rod Troutman and his wife, Dawn, of Mowry; four grandchildren, Quentin, Cassie, Dylan and Megan Troutman; a sister, Phyliss Mervine and her husband, Roger, of Pitman, and nieces, nephews and cousins.

Final arrangements were held at CJ Lucas Funeral Home, Mount Carmel, with the Rev. Todd Wolfe officiating. Burial was in All Saints Cemetery, Bear Gap.
