Robert M. Boyer, 87, of Tower City, died Saturday, Sept. 22, at Tremont Health and Rehabilitation Center.

Born in Lorberry, Pa he was the son of the late Edward and Elva Reiner Boyer. He was a WWI Army Veteran.

Robert was a retired coal miner and had also worked as a mechanic at Weaver Service Station. He was of the Protestant Faith.

He was predeceased by his wife of 54 years, Alice Miller Boyer, Dec. 22, 2011; four sisters, Naomi Miller, Melba Morgan, Thelma Workman and Lucille Boyer.

He is survived by a son, Chris R. Boyer and his wife Linda of Tower City; two brothers, Edward "Les" Boyer, Good Spring, Ralph Boyer, MA; one sister, Faye Krammes, MA; nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be held Thursday, Sept. 27 at 1:30 p.m. from the Chapel of Dimon Funeral Homes, Inc. with Rev. Edward Gobrecht. Visitation is from 1 to 1:30 p.m. Burial with military honors will be at the Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. Memorial donations should be made to Tower Porter EMS, P.O. 33, Tower City, PA 17980 .
