Richard R. "Tip" Klouser, 77, of Muir, formerly of Spring Glen and Valley View, died Friday, Aug. 30, 2013 at Schuylkill Medical Center-East, Pottsville.

Born in Good Spring, June 1, 1936, he was a son of the late Roy and Annie Rickter Klouser.

He was an Army Veteran of the Korean War.

He was a retired coal miner, he also retired from Sterman Masser Inc., Potato Plant, Sacramento.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Fay L. Adams Klouser, November 19, 2006 and a brother Clair Klouser.

Tip loved detailing cars, a hobby he truly enjoyed.

Surviving are a son, Dale L. "Tip" Klouser, Lebanon; his companion with whom he resided, Marian Miller and her family, Muir; a sister, Jean Hinton and her husband Bill, Pottstown.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, Sept. 4 at 10 a.m. from the Chapel of the Dimon Funeral Homes, Inc., Tower City with Pastor Monica Romberger officiating. Burial with full military honors was in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. A viewing was held from 9 to 10 a.m. at the chapel.
