Richard Mark Bowman, 58, of 1347 W. Main St., Valley View, died Wednesday, Jan. 6, at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Allentown.
Born in Lykens, March 13, 1951, he was a son of the late Mark M. Bowman and Bernice A. Harner Bowman.
He was a 1969 graduate of Tri-Valley High School.
He was a partner in Bowman’s Farms. For more than 40 years, he provided home delivery service of meats and produce to numerous area residents throughout Schuylkill County.
He was a member of St. Paul’s United Church of Christ, Sacramento.
He was an avid fisherman and hunter. His biggest joys in life were his family and his dog, Maggie.
He is survived by his wife, Patsy Ann Maurer Bowman, to whom he was married for 40 years.
He is also survived by two daughters, Audrey A. Stambaugh and her husband, Scott, Brunswick, Ga., and Sherry J. Heisler and her husband, Richard, Valley View; a grandson, Trevor M. Heisler, Valley View; three granddaughters, Ashley B. Heisler, Valley View, Lydia R. Stambaugh, Brunswick, Ga., and Nicole L. Stambaugh, Brunswick, Ga.; a brother, Robert W. Bowman and his wife, Carol, Hegins; a sister, Wanda E. Harring and her husband, Dale, Valley View; a nephew and three nieces.
Funeral services were held Monday, Jan. 11 at Buffington-Reed Funeral Home, Valley View, with the Rev. Raymond Holland officiating. Interment was in St. Paul’s Cemetery, Sacramento.
