Richard Eugene (Dick) Troutman, 84, of Pillow, died November 3, at the SUN Home Hospice Care Center, Sunbury.

He was born in Pillow, on October 7, 1928, a son of the late Ida Sally Etta Troutman and the late Preston V. Troutman.

Richard was a loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather.

He was employed as a Civil Service Worker for Commonwealth of PA.

Richard was the husband of Barbara (Blyler) Troutman.

He was a 1950 graduate of Susquehanna University, served in the U. S. Army, a member of Salem-Zion Church, Pillow, Chaplain of the Upper Dauphin Shrine Club, a member of the Masonic Lodge of Herndon, a Sunday school teacher at his church for 60 years, and also at the Polk Apartments in Millersburg, President of the Good Shepherd Organization of the Lutheran Village in Millersburg, a member of the Gratz Fair Board, President of the Pillow Historical Society, a substitute teacher at Upper Dauphin and Millersburg Schools.

Richard is survived by his loving spouse Barbara Troutman, of Pillow; son - Tracy R. and wife Jill Troutman of Hershey; daughter - Tina A. and husband Dennis Buffington of Pillow; brother - Marvin Troutman of Pillow; five grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by three brothers, Melvin, Glen, and Joy Troutman.

Memorial service will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 21, at 11 a.m. at the Salem-Zion Church, Pillow, with Rev. Curtis Zemencik, officiating.

Interment will take place at the convenience of the family.
