Pearl M. Crissinger, 90, of Gratz died Sunday, March 31, 2013 at Community General Hospital in Harrisburg. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul L. Crissinger who passed away December 1, 2006.

Born Thursday, June 15, 1922 in Leck Kill, she was a daughter of the late Charles M. and Margaret Salome (Bohner) Masser. She graduated from Pine Park High School in Leck Kill in 1940.

Pearl was the oldest charter member of the Emmanuel Wesleyan Church of Gratz and had taught Sunday School for many years.

Surviving are five children; Leon R. Crissinger and his wife Sharon of Gratz, Carol Hoch and her husband Lester of Berrysburg, Dr. Harold P. Crissinger and his wife Laurie of Menominee, Michigan, Kenneth W. Crissinger and his wife Karen of Gratz, and Melvin C. Crissinger and his wife Deborah of Dauphin; 9 grandchildren, Bryan Crissinger and Tanya Leppo, and Ashley Crissinger, Nathan, Joshua, and Aaron Crissinger and Rachel Calderon and Abigail Jones, and Elizabeth Crissinger; 3 great grandchildren, Trent Crissinger, Phoebe Pearl Crissinger and Chloe Calderon; one sister, Verna Brown of Klingerstown; as well as nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by two sisters, May Romberger Herring and Thelma Wiest; and four brothers, Clarence, Ralph, Clement and H. Felix Masser.

A viewing was to be held on Wednesday, April 3, from 6-8 p.m. at Emmanuel Wesleyan Church, Gratz, PA and Thursday, April 4, from 10-11 a.m. at the church where the funeral will follow at 11 a.m. with Rev. Daniel Durkee officiating. Interment will follow in Emmanuel Wesleyan Cemetery.
