Paul G. Welker, 90, of Lykens Twp., died October 3, 2013, at the Harrisburg Hospital, Harrisburg.

He was born in Lykens Twp., on August 26, 1923, a son of the late Eva (Smeltz) Welker and the late John Welker.

Paul was a WWII veteran serving in the Philippines. He retired from the Mechanicsburg Naval Depot and Lee Dockey Auction Services. Paul was a member of Simeon Lutheran Church, Gratz, and member of the Gratz Cemetery Board, a lifetime member of the Gratz Fire Co., Gratz VFW Post 2385, and the Alvin E. Long Post 504 in Dalmatia. He also was an avid farmer.

Paul is survived by his loving spouse, Corrine Welker; daughter, Debbie and husband Randy Herb of Lykens Twp.; son, Craig and wife Diana Welker of Lykens Twp.; sister, Betty Klein of New York City; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two sisters, Linda Welker and Elsie Brown, and by two brothers, Walter and Lee Welker.

A funeral ceremony was held Monday, Oct. 7, at the James A. Reed Funeral Home, Pillow, with Rev Aaron Dorman and Rev. Martine Joseph, officiating.

Interment was in the Gratz Union Cemetery, Gratz.
