Orpha P. Weist, age 88, died Thursday, Aug. 19, at her home in Lykens.
She was a member of Lykens United Methodist Church, loved her family and enjoyed playing euchre.
She was born October 30, 1921, in Pitman, a daughter of the late Carlos and Cora Mausser Erdman.
Orpha is survived by her husband Ernest J. Weist to whom she had been married 70 years; a son: Ernest J. Weist II and his wife Dinna, Williamstown; 3 daughters: Janice K. Welker and her husband Rex, Grace P. O'Neill, all of Lykens, Carole E. Long and her husband Bob, Millersburg; a sister, Grace Evans, Lykens; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, Aug. 24, at the John R. Shultz Funeral Home, with the Rev. Kay D. Schwab officiating. Interment was in Maple Grove Cemetery, Elizabethville.
