Nicholas J. Heim, 32, of Pine Grove, died Monday, Oct. 7, 2013 in Mahanoy City.

Born July 15, 1981, in Philadelphia, he was a son of Bruce Middlebrook, New Jersey, and Nancy J. Heim, Pine Grove, and Paul and wife, Donna Mangini, and family of Philadelphia.

Nicholas was a 2001 graduate of Pine Grove Area High School and a 2003 graduate from the Pennsylvania Apprenticeship & Training Council, Federal Commission on Apprenticeship of Reading Electrician JATC Local 743.

He was a member of the Electricians Union and was employed as a union electrician for PPL.

He enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Surviving, in addition to his parents, are a daughter, Callie Lynn Heim, Pine Grove; sister, Kristy Mangini and fiance, Matthew Geist, and their daughter, Kylie Geist, Pine Grove; brother, Bruce Dolan, New Jersey; maternal grandparents, Edward and Nancy J. Heim, Pine Grove; paternal grandparents, Bill and Maryanne Wolf, New Jersey; Godparents and aunt and uncle, Jean and Donald McMillin, Pine Grove; three uncles, Anthony Heim and Eddie Heim, both of Pine Grove, and Elmer and wife, Susan Wolf, New Jersey; an aunt, Maryanne, wife of Bruce Varesio, New Jersey.

Funeral services were held Saturday, Oct. 12, at H.L. Snyder Funeral Home Inc., Pine Grove, with Dr. Richard W. Schoenleber officiating. The family would prefer, in lieu of flowers, donations be made for his daughter, Callie L. Heim College Fund, c/o Fulton Bank, 55 S. Tulpehocken St., Pine Grove, PA 17963, in his memory.
