Mary D. Brown, 85, of Williamstown, died suddenly Sunday, Feb. 9, 2014 at the Manor of the Susquehanna Village, Millersburg.

Born in Williamstown, August 15, 1928, she was a daughter of the late Michael and Helen Garber Verbish.

Mary retired as a seamstress from the former Lebro Shirt Factory, Lykens.

She was a member of the former Holy Spirit Byzantine Catholic Church and was attending the Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, both in Williamstown.

In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her husband, William; a son, Dennis; two brothers, Michael and Emil Verbish; three sisters, Theresa Hughs, Helen Bubak and Mildred Tomko.

Surviving are her son, William " Bill" Brown and his wife Jeanne, Harrisburg; a step-granddaughter, Kimberly Ade, Harrisburg; and a step-great-granddaughter, Sydney Rukas.

Private committal services will be held at the convenience of the family from Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations should be made to the Williamstown EMS, P.O.Box 74, Williamstown PA 17098. Dimon Funeral Homes, Inc., Williamstown handled arrangements. To sign the guest book visit
