Marsha Lea Winborn, 55, of 200 McKinley Street, Schuylkill Haven, died Friday, Jan. 22, at her home after a courageous two year battle with cancer.
Born in Clarksdale, Mississippi, November 9, 1954, she was a daughter of the late Jack and Florence Edmonds Winborn.
Marsha was a graduate of Clarksdale High School, Morehead Jr. College and the University of Southern Mississippi.
Before becoming ill she was a special education teacher for the Millersburg Area School District.   She was very active with the special olympics in various school districts. Prior to her teaching position at Millersburg, she worked as a substitute with the Intermediate Unit, Pottsville.
Marsha was a former member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Tower City and Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, Williamstown where she had taught CCD for both parishes. She was also a former Girl Scout Leader.
Surviving are her daughter, Sala M. Winborn, at home;  two sisters, Helen Davidson and her fiancee Robert Hartley, Augusta, Georgia  and Jacqueline Reibsane and her husband Gary, Tower City; nieces and nephews.  
Memorial Mass was celebrated Saturday, Jan. 23, from Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Chapel,  Tower City. Burial will be private in Mississippi. Donations should be made to Sts. Peter & Paul Chapel,  c/o Most Blessed Trinity Church, 113 Cherry Street, Tremont, PA 17981.
