Marlin Troutman, 85, of Midwest City, Oklahoma, died Friday, Aug. 31.

Marlin was born in Muir, on October 7, 1926 to Herbert Troutman and Ida Romberger Troutman.

He served in the Navy, retired from Tinker Air Force Base and worked as a school bus driver in both Pennsylvania and Oklahoma after his retirement.

He was a member of St. Philip Neri Catholic Church, Midwest City and was a member of the American Legion and Loyal Order of the Moose.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Catherine "Lucille" Alutius Troutman in October, 2004. He was also preceded in death by two sisters, Idabelle "Peg" Morgan and Jean McCoughey.

Surviving are his daughter, Cheryl and her husband Keith Kelso of Midwest City; and his grandson, Jason and his wife Destiny Foreman, also of Midwest City. He is also survived by two sisters, Cleo Ladavatt and June McCaughey and a brother, Harold Gongloff, all of Hershey; several nieces and nephew, friends and caretakers.

A memorial service was held Saturday, Sept. 8, in Candlewood Chapel at Ford Funeral Service with burial at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery in Pennsylvania at a later date.
