Margaret A. Markowitz, 95, of 14 Vista Lane, Newville, died Saturday, Jan. 21, at Green Ridge Village, Newville.
She was born on Friday, March 31, 1916, in Hegins, a daughter of the late William F. Schwartz and Maude M. Stutzman Schwartz.
She was a member of Congregation Beth Tikvah, Carlisle.
Her husband Abraham Markowitz died in 1984.
She was also preceded in death by two brothers William Schwartz and Robert Schwartz, and three sisters Marie Herb, Isabelle Coleman, and Tillie Huntzinger.
She is survived by a son Michael W. Markowitz and his wife Nancy of Newville; and a granddaughter Sara J. Markowitz of Newville.
Funeral services were held at the Buffington-Reed Funeral Home, Valley View, on Monday, Jan. 23.
There was no viewing or visitation.
Burial was in Friedens Cemetery, Hegins.
