Mae E. Witmer, 91, of Tower City, died Sunday, June 23, 2013, at her home.

Born in Orwin, she was a daughter of the late William and Beulah Bohr Gongloff.

Mae was a retired seamstress from the garment industry. She was a graduate of Porter Tower High School. She was of the Lutheran faith.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth, in 1998; a son, William, in 1963; two grandsons, Justin and Billy Witmer; granddaughter, Shannon Garner; four brothers, Mark, John, William and Robert; and two sisters, Grace and Merle.

Surviving are two sons, Kenneth D. Witmer and his wife, Carol, Florida, and Terry L. Witmer and his wife, Barb, Tower City; two daughters, Judy Rutledge, Williamstown, and Bonnie Ruch and her husband, Franklin, Tower City; a sister-in-law, Faye Kissinger, Tremont; eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Gravesite services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 27, at Greenwood Cemetery, Tower City, with the Rev. Edward Gobrecht officiating.

In lieu of flowers, donations should be made to Hospice of Central PA, 1320 Linglestown Road, Harrisburg, PA 17110. Dimon Funeral Homes Inc. is in charge of arrangements.
