Maclada "Rae" Boyer, 84, of Williamstown, died Tuesday, Nov. 13, after a courageous ten year battle with cancer.

Born in Tower City, January 5, 1928, a daughter of the late Roy and Grace Thompson Carl.

She was a graduate of the former Tower City High School. Rae retired from AMP, Inc., Williamstown. She worked for many years as Teacher's Aide at Williams Valley Elementary School.

She was an active member of the Christ United Methodist Church, Tower City, where she was involved with the choir and the women's guild.

In addition to her parents, she was pre-deceased by her first husband, Lamar Spittle, 1971; a son, Lynn Spittle in 2009.

Surviving are her husband of 35 years, Jack L. Boyer; one son, Gary Spittle and his wife Karen, Tower City; four stepchildren, Amy Muggio, Millersburg; John Boyer, Williamstown; Jackie Seiger, Pine Grove and Lisa Stansfield, Halifax; Daughter-in-law, Mary Spittle, Mechanicsburg; one sister, Noreen Drum, Williamstown. 12 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren. Nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Saturday, Nov. 17 from the Christ United Methodist Church, Tower City. Burial was in the Greenwood Cemetery.
