Lena M. Kessler, 92, formerly of Kessler Road, died Tuesday, Feb. 19, at Manor At Susquehanna Village.

She was born May 26, 1920 in Spring Glen, a daughter of the late James and Jemima (Klinger) Klinger.

She was the widow of Raymond Kessler.

She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Erdman. She had served as a Sunday school teacher and superintendent .

Lena had worked in the past for the former Muskin Shoe Co., Millersburg, and worked as a field agent for the PA Dept. of Agriculture, Harrisburg.

She had memberships with the Lyken's Valley Garden Club and Killinger Grange.

Survivors include four sons, Richard Kessler, Custer, SD, James Kessler, Hallstead, Robert Kessler, Elizabethville and David Kessler, Halifax; 10 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and daughter, Mary Kessler, three brothers, Ray, Glen and Luke along with four sisters, Emma, Isabel, Rachel and Bette.

Services were held Saturday, Feb. 23, with Pastor Jonathan Jenkins officiating. Burial was at the church cemetery.
