Lawrence E. “Tuss” Boyer, 81, of Tower City, died Monday, Jan. 18, at the Osteopathic Hospital, Lower Paxton Twp.
Born in Pine Grove, September 1, 1928, he was a son of the late Russell and Florence Miller Boyer. Tuss was raised in Williamstown.
Tuss retired after 23 years with Dauphin Distribuations. He was a W.W. II and Korea Army Veteran.
He was of the Protestant Faith and a member of the Williamstown American Legion.
Tuss enjoyed the outdoors, loved hunting and was an avid fly fisherman. He enjoyed playing cards every morning with his friends at the legion. Tuss lived for his grandchildren, whom he was very proud of.
In addition to his parents he was pre-deceased by his brother William Boyer.
Surviving are his wife of 55 years, Louise Schwenk Boyer; Two sons, Larry E. Boyer and his wife MaryBeth, Dillsburg and Dave R. Boyer and his wife Wendy, Mechanicsburg. Three Grandchildren, Marcie, Courtney and Collin Boyer. Four Sisters, Jean Piltz, New Jersey; Barbara Moss, Reading; Mary Muggio, Williamstown and Ellen Perseponko, Hummelstown. Nieces and Nepehws.
Graveside services with military honors were held Friday, Jan. 22 from Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. Memorial donations in his memory should be made to the Williamstown American Legion, 123 W. Market Street, Williamstown PA 17098
