John W. Johosky, 80, of Pine Grove, died Monday, Sept. 24 at York Terrace Nursing Home, Pottsville.

Born in Elmhurst, N.Y., April 16, 1932, he was a son of the late Anthony and Elizabeth Traven Johosky. He married his wife, Kathleen M., in 1963.

He was a 1958 graduate of West Chester University. He served in the Navy during the Korean War.

John worked for the federal government in the Department of Justice, until his retirement in 1993.

He was a member of St. Ambrose Roman Catholic Church, Schuylkill Haven.

Surviving, in addition to his wife, are a son, William Johosky, and a daughter, Kathleen Palacastro, both of New York; his caregivers from Addus Healthcare, and friend, Denise Hughes.

Services were held Friday, Sept. 28 at Geschwindt-Stabingas Funeral Home Inc., 25 E. Main St., Schuylkill Haven, with the Rev. Paul L. Rothermel officiating.
