Joan A. Kennedy Knapp, 65, of Muir, died Sunday, Nov. 11, at her home.

Born in Williamstown, March 6, 1947 a daughter of the late James and Mildred Shutt Kennedy. She was a graduate of the Williamstown Catholic High School. From 1974-1985, Joan was a sister with Adorers of Blood of Christ Convent, Columbia, PA.

Joan last worked as a LPN at Tremont Health and Rehabilitation Center.

She was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, Williamstown.

In addition to her parents she was pre-deceased by two sisters, Mary LaMonte and Mildred "Doll" Klinger; one brother James Kennedy.

Surviving are one brother, Vincent, Gettysburg; one sister Arlene Mione, Tower City; nieces and nephews that she adored.

Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Thursday, Nov. 15, from Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Rev. C. Anthony Miller. Burial was in the parish cemetery.

In lieu of flowers donations should be made to Sacred Heart Church, c/o the parish office, 732 Main St. Lykens PA 17048.
