share thisJeanette M. Houston, 76, of Tremont, died Saturday, Jan. 16, in Schuylkill Medical Center-East Norwegian Street.
Born in Pottsville, Dec. 22, 1933, she was a daughter of the late George R. and Anna Schreffer Gauntlett.
Jeanette was a member of the Most Blessed Trinity Roman Catholic Church, Tremont and a 1951 graduate of Reilly Township High School.
Preceding her in death were her husband, Daniel J. Houston Jr., on March 5, 1996; a son, Kevin R. Houston; two sisters, Ruth P. Minnichbach and Anna Frew, and three brothers, Thomas R. Gauntlett, Charles Gauntlett and Philip Gauntlett.
Surviving are a son, Keith A. Houston, Kittanning; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.
Graveside services and interment were held Thursday, Jan. 21, at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville. The family would prefer, in lieu of flowers, donations be given to the American Heart Association , 335 S. Eighth St., P.O. Box 1263, Lebanon, PA, 17042, in her memory.
