Jean E. Romberger, 88 of, Klingerstown died Sunday, Feb. 3, 2013 at the Friendly Nursing Home in Pitman. She was preceded in death by her husband Quentin Romberger who passed away in 1991.

Born Friday, October 31, 1924 in Klingerstown, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Carrie (Oxenrider) Smith. Jean was employed as a factory worker, first for Western Electric in Baltimore, and retired in 1985 from the Pillow Shirt Factory where she had worked for many years.

She was a member of St. Michael's Lutheran Church in Klingerstown. She enjoyed reading, watching TV, sewing and planting flowers in her younger years.

Surviving are two daughters, Diane Gallagher of Bloomsburg, and Donna Romberger of Klingerstown; four grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy Klinger.

A viewing was held on Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2013 at St. Michael's Lutheran Church, Klingerstown, PA where the funeral followed with Rev. Jonathan Jenkins officiating. Interment was in St. Michael's Cemetery.
