James S. "Jimbo" Stavinski, 44, 119 N. Seventh St., Englewood, Frackville, died Friday, July 9, from injuries suffered in a tragic accident while at work in Klingerstown.
Born in Fountain Springs he was a son of the late James and Catherine Hede Stavinski. He was employed as a superintendent for Zartman Construction Co., Sunbury.
He was a 1984 graduate of the former Cardinal Brennan High School. He had coached for several years in both the Frackville Little League and for all categories of Frackville football programs. Jim was also a basketball coach for the former Holy Family CYO for several years.
He was a member of Annunciation BVM Roman Catholic Church, Frackville.
He is survived by his wife of 24 years, the former Janet McCole, his son, James and his daughter, Jennifer, both at home; a brother, Ed and his wife, Denise Stavinski, Frackville; two sisters, Kathy Chesonis, Ashland, and Vickie and her husband, Brian Jordan, York; several aunts and uncles and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Services were held Wednesday, July 14, from the Thomas M. Sullivan Funeral Home, Frackville. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated in Annunciation BVM Catholic Church, Frackville. Interment followed in the church cemetery in Shenandoah Heights.
